So, here we are in the new house since Wednesday, a whole 5.5 days and we love every second. The house is wonderful. We have been unpacking like insane people. The house is shaping up quickly and we’d like to have you and John over for a drink when we get a little more settled.
We have met a number of our neighbors who are all very friendly. One, in particular, is getting us involved in some community programs.
Having been in our previous home for almost 37 years, selling, buying, and moving was a foreign process to us.
In part, I am writing to tell you we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. This statement is made more true because the closing took so long (as you well know our buyer in Manalapan was having trouble with their close); about four months. By comparison the purchase in Cary, facilitated by you, went on without a hitch. Carol and I will talk about the day you made the offer on our behalf. We were walking around Borders book store when you called to let us know you were in the midst of negotiations with Lizete and that we all came to an agreement on the price, quickly…. in the store. Your attention to detail and patience with us kept us from losing the house. You responded to my MANY, MANY questions with a smile. It was fun joking about this.
Our seller would have “walked” a number of times without you keeping her calm and ensuring that she knew how dedicated we were to closing on this house. It was a long and stressful time for us which was mitigated by your professionalism and diplomacy in handling all the involved parties.

The home inspector (Garry Walker) was terrific. He was thorough, detailed, and gave us a very clear explanation of every point in the report. His follow up inspection ensured that the repairs were complete. We moved into a house without any concerns. It is fast becoming our home.
Zeke Bridges, the attorney, was very good. He too, walked us through every document explaining as we went along. We felt comfortable that all the legal details were handled.
Melissa Langdale, equally patient, was able to get our pre-approval done very quickly and was also key in keeping the deal from falling apart. She was even able to get the mortgage rate reduced as the clock ticked away. Thank you!
The concierge service worked out quite well. Barbara Winch had arranged to have our utilities turned on without any issues. She and this service reduced the effort/stress in moving.
Lastly, John provided guidance and knowledge in so many areas. We were very happy to finally meet him at the walk through. His involvement in the inspection was greatly appreciated. We found his knowledge in various subjects of home construction helpful.
We love being close to our children, grandchildren, sisters, and brothers. We get to see them so much more and a spontaneous visit to or from any of them has already happened. This is exactly what we/they wanted.
