This FREE festival kicks off with registration at 12:30 (across from the Community Center entrance), and kites will begin flying at 1pm. This event is open to the public, so whether you’ve never flown a kite or spend your every weekend hoping to catch a great gust of wind, you’re encouraged to come out to Bond Park on Saturday!

There will also be an expert kite flyer joining on Saturday, who will be happy to lend some flying tips to those of us who might need a “Dummies Guide to Kite Flying,” and will also be available to help fix kites in need of a band-aid!

Grab your kids and come out early to make your own kite before the festival starts! Both classes start at 10am at Bond Park Community Center, and allow you to decorate your kite with bright colors before flying it for the whole park to see! So sign up for Kite-Making Fun (ages 3-6 with a caregiver) or Let’s Make A Kite (ages 5-11) and show off your artistic skills!

Grab your kite, whether it was $5 at Walmart or is your most prized possession, and head over to Bond Park to show off your skills… or lack thereof!
